Yoshinobu Mifune, MD
Dr. Mifune was the medical director at The Reading Hospital's Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center (Wyomissing, PA) before joining the Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Mifune is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the subspecialty area of Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine and Family Medicine as well as a board-certified wound specialist and a certified hyperbaric technologist. Prior to his experience at The Reading Hospital, Dr. Mifune was affiliated with the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. While serving as associate medical director there, Dr. Mifune helped guide the accomplishments of the Center, which received the prestigious Center of Excellence Award from Diversified Clinical Services for three consecutive years, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition, he also served as the medical director of an outpatient primary care facility and family medicine attending physician at Sacred Heart Hospital. His other wound care and hyperbaric medicine accomplishments includes guiding The Reading Hospital's Hyperbaric Medicine facility to achieve its accreditation status by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society in February 2010, and leading The Reading Hospital's Wound Care Center to receive the 2009 Center of Distinction Award from DCS. In addition to being a member of the medical staff at Trinitas, he also holds the responsibility as a regional medical director with Diversified Clinical Services.

A graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Mifune received his undergraduate degree in biology, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He was Chief Resident in Family Practice in the Sacred Heart Hospital/Temple University Program in Allentown. A Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine, Dr. Mifune has also been a frequent presenter to medical professionals and communities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and other northeast regions in the past three years.
