The psychological effects of a debilitating disease or injury can be devastating to even the strongest among us. Often, patients come to us with feelings of hopelessness and despair, thinking there is no solution to their problem, no treatment that seems to be working to heal their open wounds.

Our Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center of Excellence is dedicated to healing the person totally, and we love to see the transformation that often takes place when someone begins a series of treatments, starts to see real results, and begins to rebuild the confidence and positive attitude that becomes an inspiration to others. Some of the most interesting conversations occur in our waiting area, where patients who are in various stages of their treatment can be heard discussing their particular problems and offering advice and support to each other.

So, in a sense, what we do is heal wounds, but it happens in this larger perspective that encompasses a patient's hopes, fears and other feelings. We bring back hope to those who thought their situation was hopeless. We bring back smiles to the faces of people who thought their predicament was getting progressively worse.
